ActivClient 7.0 is a must have to check your e-mail securely and communicate with your government account using your smart card and smart card reader. ActivClient 7.0 is the latest update to ActivIdentity’s middleware software. It is the securest and most user-friendly ActivClient yet and was just released in November of 2011. ActivClient 7.0 is a cost-effective way to protect against network threats. If the government has mandated that your position requires smart card use, then you need ActivClient 7.0 to be compliant. When you are running ActivClient 7.0 on your computer, then you will have the security you need for remote access, network and web login. ActivClient 7.0 is only compatible with Window 7 64-bit operating systems. Before Downloading ActivClient 7.0 , make sure your system is 64 bit (NOT 32). If you have a 32 bit system, please purchase 6.2 version.

If you want to know how to check if you have a 64 bit system do the following:
1) Click on your windows icon on the lower left of your screen
2) Hover over to "COMPUTER" and RIGHT click
3) Select "Properties"
4) Under the words "system" you will see "System Type". If it says "64-bit Operating system" you are good to go!

To Download ActivClient 7.0:

1. Make your purchase of ActivClient 7.0 from compITstore
2. Head to your e-mail inbox and download ActivClient 7.0 to your computer.
3. Locate the file on your computer and right-click on your mouse to unzip the file.
4. Double-click on the unzipped file to install ActivClient 7.0 on your computer. Once installed, ActivClient 7.0 will automatically detect your smart card inserted into your smart card reader. If you do not have a smart card reader, compITstore has a variety of readers for you to choose from.
5. Once ActivClient 7.0 recognizes your smart card, you are free to communicate securely and access your government account without any worry.
