About Us

The origin of compITstore dates back to 2008, but the compITstore you see today is the product of QuadW International, Inc. who acquired compITstore in May of 2011. With new ownership came a dramatic redesign of the look and feel of the site along with a new focus and dedication to providing the best and cheapest hardware and software to its customers. In November of 2011, compITstore was able to acquire the license to distribute the latest update of ActivIdentity ActivClient middleware, and compITstore is also currently the only distributor of the ActivClient 7.0 software.

Acquiring ActivClient 7.0 is only the first step in drastically overhauling compITstore. We plan on increasing the amount and variety of products we carry in order to make compITstore the one-stop-shop for government employees who need security software. The homeland security department, the FBI and other branches of the government have mandated the use of smart cards for many different levels of government, so now even police officers, firemen and people working in local municipalities need smart cards; smart card use isn’t just limited to people working in a Mission Impossible government security vault anymore.

People coming to compITstore may only have seen a memo in their cafeteria saying they need ActivClient 6.2 or ActivClient 7.0 and a smart card reader to use and might not even know why they need these things or how to install them. Software and hardware used by the government do not always come with instructions and if they do they probably are not written in the most-user friendly language. In our mission to improve our website, compITstore hopes to be able to provide you with the resources you need to easily find and use our products to successfully comply with all government mandates. When the security of our country is at stake, we need to do our best to help you do your best.

compITstore buys its products in bulk in order to pass on the savings to our customers. If there is ever a product you need for your job that we are not currently offering, please let us know and we will do our best to acquire it.
